Frenship ISD was established in 1935 when four rural communities - Wolfforth, Carlisle, Hurlwood, and Foster - joined together to better serve their students as one district. For nearly 90 years, Frenship has remained a community-centered district, rooted in pride and tradition since the first graduation class of 1936. Today, approximately 1,400 Frenship staff members serve more than 11,700+ stude

nts across 16 campuses in the Wolfforth and Lubbock communities. Designated as one of the fastest growing school districts in Texas, Frenship's enrollment grows approximately 2-5% each year.

Big congratulations to Frenship ISD for being recognized by the Agriculture Teachers Association of Texas! 👏🌾

Frenship High School Principal Greg Hernandez has been named the Outstanding School Administrator, honoring his incredible support of agricultural science. This recognition is even more special as he was nominated by Frenship High School Lead Agricultural Sciences Teacher and FFA Advisor, Angela VanGundy.

And shoutout to our Frenship Communications team — Tiffany Taylor, Erin Garcia, Hannah Morelos, and Brittany James, for earning the Outstanding Publication Award for the weekly Paw Prints E-Newsletter, also nominated by Angela VanGundy! 🐾📰

We had so much fun at the Feeding Frenship Burger Bash today! Shoutout to the Heritage Middle School - Frenship ISD Cheer Team and Lubbock Matadors SC Players who came out! Join us as we continue to provide FREE meals to kids!😎🍔🍧

🥪Every Monday through Friday, free lunches will be handed out at the Frenship High School Soccer Complex from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. & Duran Park from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

➡️ Any child 18 or younger can receive a meal, and you don’t have to be a Frenship student! Children must be present to receive the free lunch, and they must eat at the pickup location. We’ll have games and activities for the kiddos!

We’re kicking off Feeding Frenship with burgers, games, and fun in the sun! Come grab a FREE lunch and celebrate the start of summer with us! All kids 18 and under eat FREE, no sign-up needed! Kids must be present and eat on-site. The Lubbock Matadors SC will be making a special appearance at both locations. ⚽

Summer meals are back next week! ☀️🍎 Feeding Frenship kicks off June 1, providing FREE weekday lunches for all children 18 & under all summer long!

In partnership with Aramark, Frenship ISD is helping fight summer hunger while giving kids a fun place to gather, play games, and stay connected. 💙

Since 2013, more than $500,000 has been awarded to support innovative classroom projects and hands-on learning across Frenship ISD. Last year alone, over $80,000 was awarded to teachers on all 16 campuses! ⭐ Applications close June 3, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
