The Candidate Filing Period has opened! The Town Council Districts 2 and 3 seats are up for election on November 3rd. These seats are four-year terms ending in 2030. The survey explores preliminary concepts for transportation, parking, land use, and public gathering spaces in the Town Center. These are concepts only—not final plans—and your input will help the Town decide which ideas to prioritize for the future.

⏱️ The survey takes about 10–15 minutes, all questions are optional, and it's open through August 31, 2026.

The History of The Woodside Library

The Woodside Library has an interesting history in San Mateo County! Learn about its early history as a shelf in Tripp’s Store in 1859, then its evolvement as a San Mateo County Library in 1927. Hear about all the changes the library has seen over the past century and how library services are managed today. Learn about the Summer Adventure program as well, and all the fun August activities for families and adults.

Carmen Letona-Adams is the Community Library Manager of Portola Valley and Woodside Libraries. She has been with SMCL for 10 years, starting as a Youth Librarian, then as a Senior Librarian, and finally as a Library Manager.

A limited amount of books will be given away for library patrons to build their home libraries.
