🌲 A different kind of national park experience in Vermont.

Tucked into beautiful Woodstock, Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park brings together history, nature, and the story of conservation in America.

Explore historic gardens, wander through the forests of Mount Tom, follow miles of carriage roads and trails, and learn how generations of conservationists helped shape the way we think about protecting the land today.

It’s an easy park to work into a day exploring Woodstock — and a great reminder that National Park Service sites come in all shapes and sizes. 🥾🌿

We plan trips around destinations.
But somehow the memories that stick are usually the little things that happened in between.

What’s one travel moment you still think about?

3 things to know before visiting Acadia National Park 🌲⛰️

1️⃣ Cadillac Mountain takes a little planning.
If you want to drive Cadillac Summit Road, you’ll need a separate vehicle reservation from May 20–October 25, 2026. A regular park pass alone won’t get you up the road.

2️⃣ Don’t plan on driving everywhere.
Parking at popular spots can fill quickly. The free Island Explorer bus connects many of Acadia’s biggest destinations and can make exploring the park much easier. (It does not go to Cadillac Mountain.)

3️⃣ Give yourself more than one day.
Acadia isn’t just Cadillac Mountain. Make time for the Ocean Path, Jordan Pond, carriage roads, quieter trails and some time exploring Bar Harbor too.

Save this for your Acadia trip. 🌲
