Best of luck on one of our own home grown; 1SG Kevin Boyle! 1SG Boyle originally enlisted as a marine and served his first deployment in Iraq in 2006. Kevin has been around D Co since 2012 while serving in just about all leadership roles. A battle hardened tactician and leader with 4 combat tours, sweat and blood has went into the rank he wears. Kevin believes in the army value of selfless service as he also serves his community at Lower Township. We congratulate him and his family on this extraordinary honor! BE the example!


Fun fact: there was once 4 Kevin’s in Platoon Leadership at D Co in Syria which was extremely confusing to our partner forces. Although 1SG Boyle has left the Battalion, his company is Commanded by one of these 4 previous Kevin’s, his son is also named Kevin ~as pictured.

Today marks the end of my time as First Sergeant of Delta Company, 1-114 Infantry. It’s hard to put into words what this journey has meant to me. Serving alongside the Soldiers of this company has been one of the greatest honors of my career. Starting our very own paper, The Dragon Chronicles, to picking on the big ole heat chat, to yelling at Gravely, talking s**t on the other companies and the building of our bad ass FRG team.

We shared an incredible deployment, faced challenges head-on, and built memories that will stay with me forever. I was fortunate to spend this chapter of my life with outstanding leaders, dedicated NCOs, and Soldiers who embody the true spirit of service.

Delta Company will always hold a special place in my heart. I leave proud of what we accomplished together and grateful for every moment. Thank you to all who stood beside me, you’ve made this ride unforgettable.

How can I not mention the best company commander anyone could ask for. Captain Warren, you’ve taken this company to new highs and Im proud to served under you. You always had my back, even when I was wrong (well sorta). For that, thank you and looking forward to being friends forever.

Lastly, I wish nothing but the best of luck to the new command team, 1LT Herrighty and 1SG Darhun. You guys are lucky to serve such a company.

Welp, it’s been a long ass year but all us Dragons are finally home. We couldn’t have done it without the love and support of our family and friends.

Congrats to our very own SSG Fillmore who was just recently promoted. SSG Fillmore is our company Communications Specialist and there’s not much he doesn’t know. He’s killed every job out here and made our base better in a commo perspective. This is a well deserving promotion.

SPC Tarasewicz is an outstanding medic. Without hesitation, she did her thing. Dragon 6 and 7(mostly me) are super proud of you. Great job doc!

Army Sgt. Lauren Shalabi and Spc. Heather Tarasewicz saved a local man in Syria from a grisly injury when his arm was caught in a generator.
