We are so excited about this project!

We would like to express our gratitude to Wynne Apothecary for their generous donation of items from the Community Sports Wishlist for our flag football initiative. The Odell McCallum Community Center is collaborating with Wynne Intermediate School EAST to establish a month-long flag football program. This program will provide students with the opportunity to learn the fundamental skills of the sport in a safe and enjoyable environment. We encourage everyone to stay tuned for updates regarding this exciting program.

A huge thank you to Lexi Gahr and Bevin Hunter from the Wynne Economic Development Corporation and the Cross County Chamber of Commerce. Students learned about the individuals responsible for the various events in our town and how the Corporation and the Chamber contribute to our town's growth. We greatly appreciate both of you for answering our questions and providing detailed insights; we now have many ideas that are developing into projects thanks to you!

We’re so excited about this project coming together!

A special thank you to Dr Robert Bassham and his team for donating toothbrushes and toothpaste to the One Stop Shop at the OMCC. We’ve been working with EAST at Wynne Intermediate School to evaluate our response to the 2023 tornado that hit our town. We’re making adjustments and preparing the center to be a One Stop Shop to serve our community in case of another disaster or event. —E.D. Jeremy Bailey

WIS EAST had an amazing week at . We learned about so many wonderful projects and got to share our projects with others. We enjoyed exploring Hot Springs and can’t wait for next year’s conference!

We want to congratulate Anè for being an EAST CONFERENCE BEST IN PRINT Finalist! Winners will be announced at the closing ceremony on Thursday.

WIS EAST students Bailey, Izzy, and Hayden toured the Odell McCallum Community Center in Wynne today with Center Director Jeremy Bailey.

They offered their thoughts on a project to enhance the center's preparedness for future emergencies similar to the recent tornado.

EAST students will work on practical aspects of the project such as designing storage, creating sleeping quarters, and providing alternative power. The goal is to transform the center into a comprehensive emergency shelter. Stay tuned for more updates and photos of their progress!

Sawyer and Diesel tackled building 3D worlds in Unity at EAST training today. Both students have projects that involve 3D design, and they were willing to learn a whole new program to do it!
