One of the things I love most about Greene County is the way our community shows up for one another, and One Bistro is a wonderful example of what that looks like.

I have supported and been involved with this ministry for years because I believe deeply in its mission. One Bistro does more than serve meals. They create a place where everyone is welcomed, treated with dignity, and given the opportunity to be part of a caring community.

This week is especially meaningful as One Bistro celebrates 10 years of serving our neighbors during the 7th Annual National Everybody Eats Week, August 23–29. They have set an ambitious goal of raising $100,000 to help continue this important work.

I also love seeing so many of our Greene County community partners being recognized as Community Heroes throughout the week. From our first responders and healthcare professionals to local leaders and organizations, it is a great reminder that caring for a community truly takes all of us working together.

Congratulations to One Bistro on 10 years of service! I am grateful for this ministry, the people behind it, and the difference they continue to make throughout Xenia and Greene County, OH.

If you are able, I hope you will consider supporting One Bistro during National Everybody Eats Week. Every contribution helps them continue serving our neighbors and strengthening our community. 💚

Strong leadership matters - to our military, to our communities, and to the future of our region.

Over the past couple of weeks, I was honored to attend two promotion ceremonies at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, celebrating Brigadier General Timothy M. Helfrich and Brigadier General Timothy J. Spaulding on their promotions.

These ceremonies are a wonderful reminder of the exceptional leadership and talent we have right here at Wright-Patt Air Force Base. WPAFB is an incredibly important part of Greene County - not only as a major economic driver, but as a community partner and a source of innovation, service, and leadership.

Congratulations to Brig. Gen. Helfrich and Brig. Gen. Spaulding on this well-earned achievement. We are proud to have Wright-Patt and so many outstanding military and civilian leaders as part of our Greene County community.

What a great way to kick off the 2026-2027 school year with Beavercreek City Schools!

I had the opportunity to join teachers, staff, administrators, and community leaders this morning for the district’s Opening Day celebration. The energy in the fieldhouse was incredible, especially seeing so many of the people who work every day to educate, encourage, and care for Beavercreek students all gathered in one place.

I especially enjoyed seeing staff recognized for their years of service, welcoming new team members, and celebrating the educators and support staff who go above and beyond for their students.

Our schools play such an important role in the strength of our communities, and I am grateful for the teachers, administrators, support staff, bus drivers, and so many others who make that work possible.

Here’s to a wonderful 2026-2027 school year! Go Beavers! 🧡🖤

Last week, I had the opportunity to spend an evening with Five Rivers Health Centers in Xenia for a tour, local art, and a closer look at the important work they’re doing throughout our region.

One of my favorite parts was seeing how they have incorporated artwork from local artists throughout their facilities, including pieces from We Care Arts - an organization I’ve shared about before. I always enjoy seeing different parts of our community connect in ways like this.

Five Rivers also has a long-standing connection to Greene County. Their history in Xenia began with Star Pediatrics, and this year they opened their new Xenia Campus, another investment in access to care for our community.

Healthcare, the arts, and community partnerships may seem like separate pieces, but evenings like this are a good reminder of how much they can strengthen one another. Thank you to Five Rivers Health Centers for opening your doors and sharing your work with us!
