Just a reminder... our Hospitality Appreciation Day is THIS Friday. Hope to see you there!!

People return to Yachats year after year because they truly love it here. They’re drawn not only to the stunning views and unique charm of our town, but also to the places they stay and the experiences they have along the way. It’s the warm smile when they’re greeted, the friendly chat or quick joke while ordering dinner, the helpful local tips, and the care taken to make each room feel just right.
So here’s a heartfelt shoutout to all of our hospitality workers—thank you! You play such an important role in what makes Yachats special, and you are truly appreciated.

Meet Travis Tibbetts, one of the members of our Public Works team helping keep Yachats running every day.

As a Certified Water Technician, Travis helps ensure the City has safe drinking water while also supporting a variety of Public Works responsibilities, including maintaining streets, storm drains, sewer systems, and City facilities.

Travis brings more than 20 years of public works experience to Yachats and enjoys the hands-on nature of the work and being out in the field.

Thank you, Travis, for your service to the Yachats community.

School may be winding down, but there's still plenty happening at the Yachats Public Library.

Join us on Fridays from 1:00 to 2:00 PM for children's programs featuring stories, crafts, and activities in the library's children's space. It's a great opportunity for young readers to learn, create, and connect with others in the community.

We look forward to seeing you at the library this summer!

Some birds are known for dazzling colors or dramatic behavior. The White-crowned Sparrow is appreciated for something different: its familiar presence and cheerful song.

A year-round resident along the Oregon Coast, this recognizable bird can often be spotted hopping along the ground, perched in shrubs, or singing from the tips of branches. Its distinctive black-and-white head stripes make it easy to identify, even for beginning birdwatchers.

Keep an eye out for White-crowned Sparrows around town, along local trails, and throughout our coastal landscapes.
