The Town of Yacolt is seeking volunteers to help with upcoming town events. Events like the Easter Egg Hunt and The Yacolt Rendezvous take many volunteers to pull together. Please consider giving some time to help with these great events and help keep Yacolt a great place to live. * During the council meeting, there will be time allotted for the public to come forward and discuss the Town Rendezvous Event. Good and Bad comments are welcome. Comments will be limited to 3 minutes depending on the participation.

National Night Out
Tuesday, August 4, 2015 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm
* This is an opportunity to meet your neighbors and find out what local resources are available. The event runs from 6-8 pm.
Dunk Tank will be on site while this is free a donation is appreciated to support Town Events.
Socko the puppet will be present and have materials to make him some friends.
A color contest for 2 age groups 1- 5 years and 6-12 years, Mayor will select the winner who will be contacted after the event.
Also attending this years event will be a group from the Dog Walkers Program with the Sheriff's Dept.
This is a great opportunity to help your town prevent crime. Come and learn more about this new and exciting program. We will have a limited supply of food and snacks for those who attend.
So come out meet your neighbors learn about how you can make a difference in your community and discover local resources for help, health and safety.

2015 School Readiness Day
Friday, August 21, 2015 - 4pm-6pm
Registration is open for 2015 School Readiness Day, a program that distributes basic school supplies to students who qualify for free or reduced lunch in the Battle Ground, Hockinson, Woodland, and Green Mountain School Districts. This year’s event is scheduled 4-6 p.m. Friday, August 21 in the Battle Ground High School Cafeteria. Please pre-register before Wednesday, August 12 at North County Community Food Bank: 687-5007 Monday-Friday or at Adventist Community Services: 687-3459 Tuesdays or Thursdays.
Also at School Readiness Day, Sea Mar Community Health Center will provide free immunizations to children ages 2 months through 18 years old by appointment. Call (360) 566-4409 to pre-register for immunizations. A registered nurse will help you determine if your child needs vaccines and answer questions.

This family-friendly event is free for all you shoppers and bargain hunters. Want to sell your cache of collectibles? The cost is $20 per vehicle with all proceeds benefiting the Battle Ground Veterans Memorial Fund.

* This event is located at the Public Safety Complex at the Clark County Fairgrounds, 505 NW 179th St. Ridgefield, WA.
There will be free hot dogs, chips, pop and lots for you and your children to do. This event is free and open to the public. Emergency Vehicle Display, Heath Screenings, Community Information Exhibits, and much more.
Demonstrations throughout the day and a Dunk Tank Fundraiser for Santa's Posse.
While this event is free a donation of Peanut Butter or Jam is suggested to help North County Food Bank.
