This Memorial Day, we pause to remember the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We honor their courage, service, and dedication to our nation.

From the Gleed Fire Department, thank you to all who have served, and we wish everyone a safe Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

We’re always happy to help our neighbors!

So it begins. Yesterday Your Selah Fire Department was dispatched to a fire on Sage Trail Rd in East Selah. With the help of our mutual aid partners, Gleed Fire Department, Naches Fire Department, Federal Firefighters of Yakima IAFF Local F-295, Washington State Department of Natural Resources we were able to stop the fire without any loss of structure and no injury to firefighters or home/property owners. Thank you to all involved.

Also just a reminder that when we have a fire, it is not a good time to go take a drive in that area. We know people are curious, but when people drive close to fire scenes it can impede firefighting operations and put everyone at risk of injury.

Thank you to the Naches Valley PTSA for allowing us the opportunity to come out to the Mother-Son event last night!!

Last night we held our annual Department Corn Hole Competition! We gathered as a family and had dinner, prepared by Firefighter Steve Conduff. Then faced off in a friendly match! This year’s champions were Lieutenant Trevor Bailey and Firefighter Jared Grubenhoff!! Their picture and names will go on our wall and they’ll have bragging rights for the year!

Yesterday some of our volunteers and their families walked the main roads of Gleed for our annual litter pickup. A dozen plus bags of garbage was collected from around the community! We then met at our Station for breakfast. Thank you to the community who showed their support with friendly waves and moving over while we worked on the sides of the roadways, it was much appreciated! Happy spring!! 🌷🌤️
