Our Kindergarten and 1st grade students celebrated the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day by reading How to Catch a Leprechaun and putting their creativity to the test by building their very own leprechaun traps! While those tricky leprechauns managed to escape again this year, our students didn’t leave empty-handed—they discovered a little pot of gold out on the playground! 🌈✨

Meanwhile, our 3rd–5th grade students were on a mission of their own and successfully spotted leprechauns hiding around the playground! 🍀

It was a fun-filled day of imagination, problem-solving, and a little bit of magic for all!

Our 4th grade students recently completed JA Our Region! 🌎✨

During this engaging experience, students explored entrepreneurship while connecting their social studies learning to real-world concepts like regions, resources, supply chains, and problem solving.

They discovered the traits of successful entrepreneurs, learned how businesses use resources to create products and services, and even participated in a hands-on manufacturing and trade simulation to demonstrate the supply chain in action.

We are so proud of our fourth graders for their creativity, teamwork, and entrepreneurial thinking! 💼💡

🌎🪨 Earth Science Fun at Nob Hill! 🦴🌋
Our First Grade students wrapped up their Earth Science unit today, and what an exciting journey it has been! They have been digging deep into learning all about the layers of the Earth, rocks and minerals, volcanoes, geysers, and of course… fossils!
To celebrate the end of the unit, students had the opportunity to create their very own fossils as a hands-on project. It was such a fun way to bring their learning to life and see science in action!
The fossils are currently drying and hardening, and students will be able to take them home next week. We can’t wait for them to share their creations with you!
Be sure to ask your First Grader what they learned about how fossils are formed or which Earth layer they found most interesting — you might be surprised by how much they know! 🌍✨

What a fantastic night at the bowling alley! Our Nob Hill staff, students, and families had an amazing time coming together for a fun-filled evening of strikes, spares, and lots of smiles.

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible PTA for sponsoring this event and making it all possible. We are so grateful for the time, energy, and dedication our PTA members give to create opportunities like this for our school community. 💙

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Veterans 🇺🇸

Today, our Nob Hill community came together to celebrate and honor the brave men and women who have served our country. Our Veterans Day assembly was a special opportunity for students and staff to show gratitude for the sacrifices made by those who protect our freedoms.

We are especially proud to recognize and thank two of Nob Hill’s own veterans — Victor Rodriguez and Tara Ward-Gaston — for their service and dedication to our nation and our school community.

A special thank you to Panaderia el Solecita and Starbucks for generously donating the coffee and pastries that helped make this morning’s celebration even more special.

Thank you to all veterans for your courage, commitment, and sacrifice. We honor you today and every day. ❤️🤍💙

🌈🏃‍♂️ What an incredible day at our Color Run! 🏃‍♀️🌈

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing PTA, all of the volunteers, and our dedicated staff for making this event such a fun and successful experience for our students. Your hard work and energy truly brought our school community together.

At Nob Hill, we live by “Read, Run, and Do Right”—and today we did just that. Our kids showed their spirit, perseverance, and teamwork while having a blast!

💙💛 We are grateful for everyone who helped make this tradition such a memorable celebration. Together, we are Nighthawk Strong!

🎓💛 Last week we had the joy of welcoming back some very special visitors—our former students who are now graduating seniors! They returned to Nob Hill for a final walkthrough, and it was an emotional and heartwarming experience watching them stroll the halls one last time.

Our current students and staff lined the hallways to cheer them on, celebrating their incredible journey from elementary to graduation. It was a full-circle moment filled with smiles, high fives, and even a few happy tears.

To top it off, our graduates joined in on Field Day and even played at recess—bringing back all those childhood memories! 🏃‍♀️🎉 It was the perfect way to celebrate where they started and all they’ve accomplished. Round 3.
