He was raised on his family farm in Kittanning
Township where he still resides today with his wife Judi. In 1968, he graduated from Elderton High
School and then went on to earn a B.S Degree in Education from IUP. Stan then went to work, for over a
decade, in the coal and gas industries. In 1989, Stan started BLX, Inc. , a gas and oil production company, which he owns and operates in
Armstrong and

surrounding counties. As a business owner, he understands what it takes to create a
long term plan for growth. Through conservative budgeting and careful planning he has watched his
business grow. Stan hopes to bring this common sense line of thinking to the ASD school board. As a member of the
board, he hopes to stop reckless spending and help to create a more stable and forward-thinking district
which will benefit both taxpayers and students. He will put students’ needs first and stop unnecessary
