The Washtenaw County winter warming season begins Monday, November 10th. There will be a daytime warming site available in Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor through March of 2026.

📣 Important Food Assistance Update for Washtenaw County
The Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners wants to make sure every resident knows: with the impending pause of SNAP benefits, additional support is available. We are working closely with Food Gatherers to help families in need.

📍 Emergency Drive-Thru Distributions
Food Gatherers will hold four emergency drive-thru food distribution events at Briarwood Mall (100 Briarwood Cir, Ann Arbor, MI 48108) from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. on the following dates:
• Saturday, November 8
• Wednesday, November 12
• Saturday, November 15
• Wednesday, November 19
🧡 Who should attend & what to expect

If you are a Washtenaw County resident who will be impacted by the end of SNAP benefits, this is a resource for you. Those aged 60+ can also access meals through Senior Cafés, and veterans may seek assistance via the County Veterans Affairs Department.

Beyond these four events, the Food Gatherers network of public pantries and meal sites across the county has received extra supplies and remains a crucial part of our safety-net. Visit foodgatherers.org/findfood to locate your nearest site.

🚨🚨 EDUCATION TOWN HALL !
The purpose of this town hall is to EDUCATE - COMMUNICATE - ADVOCATE.
The Washtenaw Association of School Boards and the Washtenaw County Superintendents are holding an Education Town Hall on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 7pm at the WCC Morris Lawrence Building in the Towsley Auditorium. It is open to the general public. The panel wants to make sure that the community is clear on the federal funding and policy that is impacting our school systems and children in Washtenaw Community and what they can do to advocate for our children’s education.
They will be providing a LOT of information and suggestions and will give the audience time to ask their education-related questions.
