In 1986 the parents of children being released from psychiatric hospitals in Michigan came together and created a 501 c (3) called Community Residence Corporation. They wanted to create a long term solution to providing compassionate care and support to their children to allow them to live as independently as possible. We re-branded as a dba COMMUNITY ALLIANCE in 2010 to bring our sister corporation, Community Living Network 501 C (3) under the same branding.
