Daveonte Dixon—who shot at two
Mifflin Township police officers in Ohio during a May 2025 traffic stop-has not yet been sentenced. He pleaded guilty on June 1, 2026, to attempted murder and felonious assault charges and faces a mandatory prison sentence of 30 to 99.5 years.

Monday August 17th 9am Franklin County Courtroom 6A in front of Judge Carl ,the Franklin Co PAO is asking for LE to pack the courtroom!

Thank you President Tom Porter and the Zane Lodge for having this Peace Officers
Memorial 2026. Thank you to the community for your attendance, Commissioners Melissa Bell, Cindy Cameron , and Drake Prouty, Mayor Mason, and guest speaker, Troy Balderson. There was a huge attendance of uniformed officers from Zanesville Police Department, Muskingum County Sheriff’s Department and Ohio State Patrol.
