OSCE OFFICE FOR DEMOCRATIC INSTITUTIONS AND HUMAN RIGHTS (ODIHR) OBSERVERS VISITED THE REGIONAL ELECTION COMMISSION

Jepsen Jonas and Rustam Tokoev, short-term observers from the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights visited the 13th Kashkadarya Regional Election Commission to inquire about the preparations of the regional and the precinct election commissions for the election of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The chairman of the regional election commission Isak Akhmedov briefed them on the work done in accordance with the program of basic measures for the preparation and conduct of the presidential election.

After that, international observers went to the polling stations to get acquainted with the precautionary measures are taken in view of the pandemic conditions, the facilities created for commission members and voters.

REGIONAL ELECTION COMMISSION ORGANIZED PRESS TOUR FOR JOURNALISTS
In order to ensure objective coverage of the preparation and conduct of the election of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a press tour for media representatives was organized.
At the beginning of the event, media representatives got acquainted with the activities of the 13th Kashkadarya regional election commission for the election of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the conditions created for members of the commission. The chairman of the regional election commission, Isak Ahmedov, told them about the preparations for the elections in the region, the progress of early voting.
After that, the participants headed out to get acquainted with the activities of precinct election commissions. During the press tour, media representatives visited several polling stations in Shahrisabz, Yakkabag, and Kitab districts.
In particular, the journalists visited polling stations 931 in Yakkabag district, 110 and 89 in Shahrisabz city, and polling stations 483 in Kitab district and got acquainted with the conditions and activities of precinct election commissions.

6615 САЙЛОВЧИ МУДДАТИДАН ОЛДИН ОВОЗ БЕРДИ

18 октябрда Қашқадарё вилоятида ташкил этилган сайлов участкаларида 2 минг 200 нафардан ортиқ сайловчи муддатидан олдин овоз берди. Шу тариқа 24 октябрь куни бўлиб ўтадиган Ўзбекистон Республикаси Президенти сайловига муддатидан олдин овоз берганлар сони 6 минг 615 нафарга етди.

On October 18, more than 2,200 voters balloted early at polling stations in the Kashkadarya region. Thus, the number of early voters in the October 24 presidential election in Uzbekistan reached 6,615 in Kashkadarya.

Барча участкаларга сайлов бюллетенини тўлдириш учун Брайль алифбоси асосида тайёрланган трафаретлар етказилди

Бу ҳақда Қарши шаҳрида Ўзбекистон Ногиронлар ассоциацияси томонидан ўтказилаётган ногиронлар ҳуқуқларини таъминлаш масалаларига бағишланган семинарга таклиф этилган 13-Қашқадарё округ сайлов комиссияси аъзоси Алишер Исоқов маълум қилди.

Унинг айтишича, айни пайтда вилоятда 4277 нафар кўришда муаммоси бўлган фуқаролар истиқомат қилади. Уларнинг 1747 нафари 1-, 1726 нафари эса 2-гуруҳ ногиронларидир. Уларнинг сайлов ҳуқуқларини таъминлаш мақсадида ҳар бир сайлов участкасига икки донадан трафаретлар етказилди.

Семинарда ногиронлар жамоат ташкилотларининг 158 нафар аъзолари округ ва участка сайлов комиссиялари вакили сифатида муҳим сиёсий жараёнга тайёргарлик кўриш ишларида фаоллик кўрсатаётгани, сайлов жараёнларида имконияти чекланган фуқароларимизнинг фаол иштирок этишлари учун барча шароитларни яратишга алоҳида эътибор қаратилаётгани таъкидланди.

Stencils based on the Braille alphabet were delivered to all polling stations to fill the ballot papers.

Alisher Isakov, a member of the 13th Kashkadarya regional election commission informed about it who was invited to a seminar on ensuring the rights of people with disabilities held by The Association of Disabled People of Uzbekistan.

He said there are currently 4,277 residents with visual impairment in the region. Of these, 1,747 are group 1 disabled, and 1,726 are group 2 disabled people. To ensure their suffrage, two stencils were delivered to each polling station.

It was noted at the seminar, 158 members of public organizations of people with disabilities are active in preparing for the important political process as representatives of regional and precinct election commissions.

Муддатидан олдин овоз бериш учун белгиланган вақтнинг дастлабки икки кунида вилоятдаги участка сайлов комиссияларига 1965 нафар сайловчи овоз беришда қатнашиш мақсадида мурожаат этди.

Улар муддатидан олдин овоз беришни амалга ошириш учун сайлов кунида бўла олмаслигининг сабаблари кўрсатилган ариза асосида сайлов бюллетенини олиб, ўзлари танлаган номзодга овоз бердилар.

EARLY VOTERS BECAME ABOUT TWO THOUSAND PEOPLE

In the first two days of the early voting, 1 965 voters applied to the precinct election commission in the region.

They took the ballot paper and voted for the candidate of their choice based on an application stating the reasons for their inability to be present on election day for early voting.

ON THE FIRST DAY, 683 PEOPLE VOTED EARLY

As you know, early voting started on October 14. According to Shoira Haydarova, secretary of the 13th Kashkadarya regional election commission for the election of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. On the first day of early voting, 683 people from 239 polling stations used their rights to vote who are unable to be present at their place of residence on election day.

Early voting will continue until 19:00 on October 20. All conditions have been created for this in the polling stations. About 93,800 ballot papers were delivered to 1001 polling stations in the region at the rate of 5% of the total number of voters.

ДАСТЛАБКИ КУНДА 683 НАФАР САЙЛОВЧИ МУДДАТИДАН ОЛДИН ОВОЗ БЕРДИ

Хабарингиз бор, 14 октябрдан эътиборан муддатидан олдин овоз бериш бошланди. Ўзбекистон Республикаси Президенти сайловини ўтказувчи 13-Қашқадарё округ сайлов комиссияси котиби Шоира Ҳайдарованинг маълум қилишича, муддатидан олдин овоз беришнинг дастлабки кунида 239 та сайлов участкасидан сайлов куни ўз яшаш жойида бўлиш имкониятига эга бўлмаган 683 нафар фуқаро овоз беришда иштирок этган.

Муддатидан олдин овоз бериш жараёнлари 20 октябрь соат 19:00 га қадар давом этади. Бунинг учун сайлов участкаларида барча шароитлар яратилган. Вилоят ҳудудидаги 1001 та участкага сайловчилар умумий сонининг 5 фоизи миқдорида, яъни 93 минг 800 га яқин сайлов бюллетенлари етказилган.

THE VOTING RIGHT OF EVERYONE IS GUARANTEED

At polling station No. 44 in Karshi city, a campaign was held with the participation of voters with disabilities and members of national and cultural centers.

It focused on the attention paid to ensuring the suffrage of people with disabilities and all nationalities living in our country.
It was noted that a number of measures are being taken to create adequate conditions for people with disabilities. In particular, separate booths for people with disabilities were set up at polling stations, and ramps were set up at entrance areas.

Braille bulletins and magnifying glasses will be available for visually impaired people. Voters with disabilities will be provided with free transportation to and from polling stations in densely populated areas, if necessary. Ballots shall be printed taking into account the nationality of the population and the languages are spoken.

POLLING STATIONS ARE READY FOR VOTING

These days, the process of preparation for the October 24 presidential election in Uzbekistan is in full swing. In order to ensure a high level and orderly conduct of elections, all necessary conditions have been created in 1001 polling stations established in the region. Ten days before the election, today, early voting began.

More than 5,000 voters live in the village of Koratepa in the Karshi district. At the 33rd secondary school in the village, polling stations 379 and 380 were set up. Preparations for the elections at these polling stations are being carried out in accordance with a strict and established plan. They are equipped in accordance with the requirements of the electoral legislation and provided with the necessary technical equipment and relevant literature.

Polling stations No. 751 in the building of the Center for Public Services in Nishan district and 749 in the building of the vocational school are well prepared for an important event in the life of our country and are ready to vote. They are equipped with all the necessary furniture, office equipment, separate areas for observers. These days, early voting continues at polling stations, and the latest training sessions are being held to further strengthen the knowledge of members of the precinct election commission.

In addition, two cameras have been installed at polling station 749, and the election process is being broadcast live on the Internet. The use of such modern information technologies in the election process ensures openness and transparency, as well as creates all-around convenience for voters.
