We asked young people in Gaza to send us statements that we could share with our MPs Jessica Morden MP and Ruth Jones MP
Israel’s War on Gaza Is a War on Children.
Over 20,000 Palestinian children have been killed in Israel’s ongoing assault on Gaza.
Hospitals and schools lie in ruins. Starvation is being weaponised as a tool of war.
The International Court of Justice has ruled there is a plausible risk of genocide.
Yet the UK government continues to arm Israel, in violation of its own laws and moral obligations.
The International Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants for Israel’s Prime Minister and Defence Minister.
Silence is complicity.
The UK’s Strategic Export Licensing Criteria clearly prohibit arms sales where there is a “clear risk” they could be used in serious violations of international humanitarian law. That risk is no longer theoretical—it is overwhelmingly documented.
* UK-manufactured F-35 components are being used in bombing raids on Gaza.
* Oxfam, Amnesty International, and the UN Human Rights Council all call for a full arms embargo, citing credible evidence of war crimes.
* Even Prime Ministers Thatcher, Blair, Brown, and Cameron imposed arms embargoes during past Israeli military operations.
Yet this government—your government—refuses to act. It has even faced judicial reviews over its decision to continue these arms exports.
By continuing to arm Israel, despite overwhelming evidence and legal warnings, the UK risks direct complicity in genocide. The UN has warned of atrocity crimes, while the British public watches in horror. 57% of the public backs a full arms embargo.
We call on you to act:
* Publicly demand an immediate arms embargo. No more empty statements.
* Challenge the government’s “lawless exception”. No more procedural delays, no more saying “it’s terrible” while doing nothing.
* Attend our rally this Thursday and stand publicly for Palestine.
History will remember this moment.
Will you be remembered for your silence—or for upholding the law and defending human life?
The time for silence is over.
Join us. Speak out. Or resign. No government position is more important than justice, international law, or the lives of thousands of children.
