🇪🇸🤝🇬🇷 Spanish Teachers Visit the CHAIN Consortium!

From 24–26 November, we were happy to welcome Marta, Iván and Celia from Ferrer Y Racaj for a 3-day job shadowing visit.

They visited all our schools — Πειραματικό Δημοτικό Σχολείο Φλώρινας, 5ο Δημ. Σχολείο Φλώρινας - Θ Κάστανος - 5th Pr School of Florina, Greece, @Δημοτικό Σχολείο Βεύης and @Δημοτικό Σχολείο Υδρούσας, observed lessons, joined activities, and attended our Robotics Clubs. Our students also shared their work, while our guests presented their school and community in Spain.

This is our second year of exchanges with Ferrer y Racaj, and the bond between our schools is growing stronger each time.

Erasmus Days στη Φλώρινα: Εκπαιδευτικοί μοιράζονται εμπειρίες Erasmus+

Η κοινοπραξία CHAIN διοργανώνει τη Δευτέρα 13 Οκτωβρίου 2025 και ώρα 17.30 μια ξεχωριστή εκδήλωση στο πλαίσιο των Erasmus Days, στο lobby café του ξενοδοχείου Emerald στη Φλώρινα.

Στόχος της εκδήλωσης είναι να παρουσιαστούν τα τρία χρόνια δράσης της κοινοπραξίας και να μοιραστούν οι εμπειρίες των εκπαιδευτικών που συμμετείχαν σε κινητικότητες σε περισσότερα από 30 σχολεία της Ευρώπης.

Η εκδήλωση θα έχει τη μορφή διαδραστικών εργαστηρίων συζήτησης με χαλαρό καφεδάκι, ώστε οι εκπαιδευτικοί που έχουν ήδη ταξιδέψει να μοιραστούν τις εμπειρίες τους με όσους σκέφτονται να συμμετάσχουν στο μέλλον. Θα είναι μια ευκαιρία για γνωριμία, ανταλλαγή εμπειριών και έμπνευση μέσα σε φιλική ατμόσφαιρα.

🇸🇪✨ Job Shadowing & Teaching Mobility at Katarina Södra Skola, Stockholm
From May 26–30, 2025, teachers from the CHAIN consortium in Florina had the privilege of participating in an inspiring job shadowing and teaching mobility experience at Katarina Södra Skola.

During the week, we explored design thinking with 4th and 6th graders, designed new playground games, and dived into mythology with creative storytelling and art activities. We also observed classroom practices in science, English, arts, and fritids, and had the chance to reflect on digital ethics, student wellbeing, and the unique Swedish approach to inclusive education.

🧵🔨 Visits to the school’s craft workshops and national museums added depth to our understanding of hands-on learning and cultural heritage in education.

🌍✈️ Job Shadowing in Ejea de los Caballeros, Spain!
From Greece to Spain, four of our teachers from the 5th Primary School of Florina, the Primary School of Vevi, and the Primary School of Ydrousa had the chance to spend an amazing week at Ferrer Y Racaj School in Ejea de los Caballeros.

They observed inspiring lessons across subjects like literacy, science, arts, and music, explored environmental education at Aquagraria, and visited rural schools and inclusion programs that gave them fresh ideas to bring back home.

Special thanks to our wonderful Spanish hosts for their warm hospitality and perfectly organized program! 🤝🇪🇸

🎉 What an unforgettable week in Florina! 🇬🇷🌍

From May 19th to 23rd, we had the joy of hosting 45 amazing students and 10 wonderful teachers from Italy, Poland, and France as part of our CHAIN Group Student Mobility! Alongside our own students from Florina, Vevi, and Ydrousa, we shared a week full of teamwork, creativity, nature, and culture.

🎨 We explored myths in Prespes, met the bears of Arktouros, danced, painted, sang, and made friends that we’ll never forget!

💃 A huge thank you to the Lykeio Ellinidon of Florina for bringing traditional dances to life, and to our incredible music teacher Iris Pakapontantinou for her magical contribution to the welcome ceremony 🎶👏.

🙏 To all the students and teachers from Bologna, Palermo, Walim, and Landernau: Thank you for your energy, openness, and creativity. It was a pleasure to host you, and we hope to work together again soon!

🇵🇱✨ A Week to Remember in Walim, Poland!
From May 12th to 16th, 2025, students from the CHAIN consortium schools in Florina participated in a group mobility hosted by Publiczna Szkoła Podstawowa im. Polskich Noblistów w Walimiu, alongside peers from Poland and Latvia.

Through eco-art workshops, nature hikes, cultural explorations in Wrocław, and a festive European Day celebration, our students built friendships, practiced English, and discovered how cultural heritage and sustainability connect us across borders.

We are deeply grateful to our wonderful Polish hosts for their hospitality and for creating such a meaningful program. 🌍💬🤝

🇮🇹✨ Job Shadowing in Tropea – Where Culture Meets Innovation!
From May 12th to 16th, 2025, three teachers from our CHAIN consortium schools had the chance to visit the beautiful town of Tropea, Italy, for a truly inspiring job shadowing experience at Istituto Comprensivo Tropea-Ricadi Don Francesco Mottola.

🎨 They explored how cultural identity is brought to life in the classroom through storytelling, art, music, and local traditions.
🧪 They observed STEM and robotics in action—even in early years!
🌱 They got hands-on with sustainability through the amazing EDUGREEN school garden project.
🍝 They even joined a workshop at the Mediterranean Cuisine Academy, where food met history and learning!
📱 And they discovered how students become true digital storytellers and cultural ambassadors.

🌍✨ A Week to Remember in Florina! ✨🌍
From May 5th to 9th, 2025, we had the absolute joy of hosting amazing teachers from Spain 🇪🇸, Sweden 🇸🇪, and Italy 🇮🇹 as part of a CHAIN job shadowing week full of inspiration, creativity, and connection!

Our guests explored our schools in Florina, Vevi, and Ydrousa, joined hands-on activities with our students, got a taste of our local culture, and shared their own classroom magic with us. We laughed, we learned, we exchanged ideas🥰

A special highlight of the week was the energizing workshop led by the brilliant Lucia Roncarati from Istituto Comprensivo Adele Zara (Venice), who sparked deep conversations and new ideas about building strong partnerships in Erasmus+ 🌟

Huge thanks to all the visiting teachers from CEIP Víctor Mendoza, Katarina Södra Skola, and I.C. Tropea-Ricadi for your openness, joy, and generous spirit. And hats off to our local teaching teams who made everything possible with their warm hospitality and passion for education.

🇬🇷✈️🇮🇹 From May 5th to 9th, ten sixth-grade students from the Experimental Primary School of Florina, the 5th Primary School of Florina “Theodoros Kastanos,” and the Primary School of Vevi traveled to Bologna, Italy, for an unforgettable group mobility experience hosted by I.C. N.20 Bologna.

🤝 Together with their Italian peers, our students took part in intercultural classroom activities, museum visits, creative workshops, and city explorations—building friendships, communication skills, and a deeper understanding of European identity.

🎨🏛️ Highlights included a visit to the Museum of Modern Art (MAMbo), a guided historical city tour, and a scenic ride to San Luca followed by a picnic at Giardini Margherita!

🌍 We are proud of our students for embracing this opportunity with open minds and warm hearts—and thankful to our hosts in Bologna.
