MASK UPDATE

Over the last several months, we have witnessed a rise in COVID-19 cases nationwide as a result of the new Delta variant of the virus. We have continued to monitor the increase in COVID-19 cases in our county and in our South Phoenix community, which can be found on the Maricopa County website. One of the most valuable tools for mitigating the spread of COVID-19 is the appropriate use of a face mask. As a result, at yesterday’s Governing Board meeting, it was decided to require all students, staff, and visitors to wear a face mask indoors on district property, per CDC guidelines. This decision allows Roosevelt School District to follow guidance from state and federal health agencies to ensure that we continue to make decisions to protect the health and safety our students, staff, families, and community. Our district will continue to monitor COVID-19 cases in our South Phoenix community to inform future decisions about our mitigation plan. We appreciate the of support of our Roosevelt families as we work together to keep our community safe.
