This week’s “Crime of the Week” focuses on a homicide from central Ohio.

On 8-31-2015 at approximately 11:25 PM, CPD Officers were called to the area of 1664 Barnett Road on the report of an injured male laying in the street. Upon arrival, the officers found a single victim, later identified as Skyler Wagner, critically injured from a gunshot wound to the upper body. CFD Medic 4 was summoned to the scene and transported Mr. Wagner to Grant Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased at 11:51 PM.

This week’s “Crime of the Week” focuses on a homicide from central Ohio.

On Thursday, August 31, 2017, at approximately 1:50pm, Columbus Police patrol officers responded to the scene of a double shooting at the corner of Traymore Place and Republic Avenue. The officers found two individuals, later identified as Theodore Stokes and Daryll Gavin, lying on a front porch suffering from gunshot wounds. Mr. Stokes was pronounced dead at the scene and Mr. Gavin was transported to Grant Hospital where he died several days later

This week’s Crime of the Week focuses on a homicide that took place in Columbus Ohio.

On March 15, 2021, Tymar O. Whitsett Jr. was reported missing. There was evidence of possible foul play located inside an apartment located at 1303 Marion Dr. N Apt. F. The scene was processed; however, Mr. Whitsett was not located.

On April 13, 2021, a vehicle that had been driven by Mr. Whitsett was located in the rear of 1585 Smith Rd. There was a body located inside this vehicle that was later identified as being Mr. Whitsett.

It is believed that Mr. Whitsett was killed inside the apartment on Marion Rd. on March 13, 2021, and then driven to the location on Smith Rd. It is also believed that several people were present at the Marion Rd. address when this crime occurred.

On August 9, 2021, at 1:50 pm, Columbus Police was called to respond to 2356 Shore Blvd. West on the report of a dead body. Upon arrival, they discovered a gunshot victim inside deceased. Columbus Division of Fire responded and pronounced the victim, 38yr old Lamont Wilcoxson dead at 1:56 pm.
