Camatagan Elementary School Successfully Hosts Area 3 Athletic Meet 2025

The grounds of Camatagan Elementary School came alive with cheers and energy as it proudly hosted the Area 3 Athletic Meet 2025, anchored on the theme “Strengthening the DepEd Sports Program Toward Discipline, Sportsmanship, and Holistic Learner Development.”
The opening program featured the traditional parade, presentation of colors, singing of the National Anthem, prayer, lighting of the torch, yells, and raising of banners. Hon. Kzhya B. Awilan, Municipal Federated SK Chairperson, delivered an inspirational message, encouraging athletes to uphold discipline and teamwork. The program concluded with the closing message of Hon. Dalmacio Anoyan, Barangay Captain of Camatagan, who expressed his gratitude to all supporters and participants.
Athletes from Gayang ES, Camatagan ES, Legleg PS, Pingad-Bao-angan ES, Bun-ayan ES, and Labbay PS competed in athletics, badminton, table tennis, chess, and other sports disciplines. Notable performances were recorded from PBES in track and field and chess, Bun-ayan ES in table tennis, Legleg PS in field events, Gayang ES in badminton, chess, and table tennis, and Camatagan ES, which stood out in field events and arnis. Labbay PS, despite offering only K–3, proudly participated in badminton singles.
The success of the meet was made possible through the collective efforts of teachers, PTA officers, parents, barangay officials, BHWs, MHO personnel, and the community. Their active involvement ensured a safe, organized, and meaningful event for all.
This year’s Area 3 Athletic Meet reflects the strong partnership between schools and the community in nurturing disciplined, resilient, and values-driven learners—true embodiments of the MATATAG na Pilipinong Mag-aaral.
