Hon. Sebastian Sandaare Graces Upper West Regional TEIN Retreat, Advocates for Youth Empowerment

The Member of Parliament for Daffiama-Bussie-Issa, Hon. Sebastian Ngmenenso Sandaare, who doubles as Chairman of the Upper West Regional MPs Caucus, attended the Upper West Regional TEIN Retreat organized by the NDC Regional Youth Secretariat.

The retreat brought together constituency youth organizers and their deputies, TEIN executives, recognized youth groups, and other party faithful.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Sandaare reaffirmed the continuous support and commitment of NDC Members of Parliament to youth empowerment, noting that the youth are the strength of the party and that disappointment and neglect would only discourage them.

He called for transparency and accountability in creating opportunities for the youth, while urging beneficiaries to be considerate of others to avoid a situation where a few enjoy opportunities to the detriment of the majority.

He further called on all stakeholders to collaborate and leverage existing systems, programmes, and government policies for the benefit of the youth.

He encouraged unity and sustained support for the party and donated GH¢5,000 on behalf of the Caucus in support of the programme.

IMMEDIATE RELEASE
21st July, 2026

ON GLOBAL INFOANALYTICS POLL - DAFFIAMA BUSSIE ISSA CONSTITUENCY

The Communication Bureau of the National Democratic Congress has taken keen interest in the latest opinion poll conducted by Global InfoAnalytics, led by Mr. M***a K. Dankwah.

Our interest is borne out of a simple conviction: credible data must inform political strategy, party organization, and service delivery. In our democratic dispensation, understanding the mood of the base and the general electorate is critical to winning and retaining the mandate of the people.

We commend Mr. Dankwah and the Global InfoAnalytics team for their consistency in making polling data publicly available for scrutiny, debate, and improvement of governance.

On the Performance of Hon. Dr. Sebastian Sandaare, MP for Daffiama-Bussie-Issa

Of the 83 constituencies surveyed nationwide, Daffiama-Bussie-Issa was included. This is of particular interest to us as a party. Since 1992, the NDC has consistently won this seat through the hard work of the party and the commitment of our Members of Parliament.

According to the poll:
- 43% of respondents rated the performance of Hon. Dr. Sebastian Sandaare as Excellent/Good
- 19% rated it as Average
- 38% rated it as Poor

While we believe the MP can and will do even more, we view the outcome positively. When we combine the “Excellent/Good” and “Average” ratings, *62%* of constituents express satisfaction with his performance. This aligns with the historic electoral strength of the NDC in Daffiama-Bussie-Issa and reflects confidence in the direction of leadership.

We also recognize that the coming into power of the NDC government has raised expectations. The people of Daffiama-Bussie-Issa expect accelerated development, and rightly so.

As government rolls out flagship social intervention policies, the Member of Parliament remains committed to lobbying and advocating for Daffiama-Bussie-Issa to receive its fair share of the national cake. We are confident that this will further improve public perception and development outcomes in the constituency.

Conclusion
We commend Hon. Dr. Sebastian Sandaare for his tireless service to the people. Development is a process, not an event. Over the course of this four-year mandate, we are confident that the development trajectory of Daffiama-Bussie-Issa will change for the better.

The NDC is blessed to have a Member of Parliament who understands the challenges of the constituency and is working relentlessly to address them. The people can be assured: their MP is working, and their government is delivering.

PRESS RELEASE
14TH JULY, 2026

SUBJECT: 2025 PUBLIC FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT COMPLIANCE LEAGUE TABLE - DBI RECORDS REMARKABLE IMPROVEMENT

The Communication Bureau of the National Democratic Congress, Daffiama Bussie Issa Constituency, has taken note of the release of the 3rd Edition of the 2025 Public Financial Management Compliance League Table `PFMCLT` for all Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies in Ghana. We wish to make the following comments:

1.The PFMCLT is a credible accountability tool that measures how effectively MMDAs manage public funds for the benefit of the people. It promotes transparency, blocks systemic leakages, and ensures that every cedi is used to deliver development. We therefore urge all citizens of Daffiama, Bussie, Issa to take keen interest in how our common resources are managed.

2.We are proud to announce that the Daffiama Bussie Issa District Assembly has recorded a massive leap in performance.
From `240th position nationally in 2024`, DBI has climbed to `194th position in 2025` - an improvement of 46 places.
Regionally, DBI has also moved from `5th in 2024` to `4th in 2025` in the Upper West Region. This means DBI now outperforms 7 other Assemblies in the region.

This progress is not by accident. It is the result of visionary, disciplined and accountable leadership.

3.We commend the Daffiama Bussie Issa District Assembly, the District Chief Executive, Hon. James Wor, and his hardworking staff for this feat.
Hon. James Wor’s proactive, transparent and development-oriented leadership is delivering results.
We also commend our Member of Parliament, Hon. Sebastian Sandaare, and all Hon. Assembly Members for their collaboration and commitment to placing DBI on the path of progress.
Indeed, _Hope is Here. DBI is Rising Again._

4.This improved ranking is proof of a new dawn in DBI. It reflects the NDC’s commitment to pragmatic, innovative and transformative governance. We must sustain this momentum through continuous collaboration, inclusiveness, and transparency.

We call on all Departments and Agencies under the Assembly to intensify efforts aimed at surpassing the national average in subsequent rankings. With unity of purpose, DBI will occupy its rightful place among the best-performing districts in Ghana.

5. Conclusion
Once again, we congratulate the Daffiama Bussie Issa District Assembly for this impressive performance in the 2025 PFMCLT. The people of DBI deserve nothing but the best, and under NDC leadership, the best is what we will continue to deliver.
