🥞Did someone say PANCAKES?🥞 Join us Saturday, Aug 22nd at the Fort St. James National Historic Site for there Fall Fair and Harvest. Breakfast of pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausages will be by donation for your local Search & Rescue group.
Come have breakfast and check out all the fall harvest activities and vendors.

Our team is happy to be flipping pancakes and doing a tasty breakfast by donation at the Fort St. James National Historic Site this Saturday, August 22nd during the Harvest Fair !😀🥕🍅🥔 and of course don't miss out on the chicken races 🐥🐔. Come Breakfast will start at 9am to 11am by donation to our local SAR group. We will also have some members available to talk about being AdventureSmart when you go out to recreate in our amazing community.

It's going to be a great day to take in the activities at the Historic Park once you are fueled up for the day with a pancake breakfast.

🌻 Celebrate the season at our Harvest Fair on August 22! 🍂
We’re bringing back the fun of a traditional fall fair, with community exhibits showcasing local talent and seasonal favourites, including baking, canning, flowers, vegetables, crafts and children’s entries. 🥧🥕🎨
🏆 Ribbons will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. And, there might even be a special prize up for grabs!
There’s lots more to enjoy throughout the day:

🍽️ Slow Smoked BBQ food truck
☕ Nightingale Coffee truck
🎬 CBC Indigenous Film Screening at Chief Kw’eh Theatre at 10:45 am and 12 pm.
🐔 Double-feature chicken races at 11:30 am and 2 pm.

📣Shout out to Kat Slorstad for her years of supporting non profits with monthly donation drop offs at Fort St. James Bottle Depot. Wishing Kat the best on her next chapter in life😀
Our team was the last monthly donation group and we just want to thank you, your great staff and the community for the donations dropped off to support our group.

Congratulations on 🎉 60 years BC Northern Real Estate Board. Thank you for your donation to our our group as part of your Anniversary Legacy Projects. Shout out 📣to Lakeshore Realty Ltd with Morgan Davis for putting our non profit group forward. We will be spending the funds on an additional wilderness first aid kit for our group and also to pay for a sign that will be located in a local recreational area reminding outdoor enthusiasts to be BC AdventureSmart. When you're going out to enjoy the outdoors, even on a small trip remember the 3 T's! Trip Plan (let someone know where you are going); Training (explore within your capability); Take the Essentials (be prepared for the unexpected).

Thank you Fort St. James Community Foundation Society for your generous contributions to the community. Your hard work and giving back to the community is greatly appreciated. With your support our group will be upgrading and acquiring some additional first aid supplies that will enable our group's prepareness for various situations we can be called to.

👏Congratulations to our very own Frank Coutu; Joan Burdeniuk and Paul Broen for walking away with the medals at the chili cook off during Caledonia Days 🌶 Not only do the members of our team dedicate many volunteer hours to train and go out on tasks to help those in need but they had time this weekend to change to chef hats 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳👨‍🍳 and entered the chili competition!
Thanks to the volunteers and groups that worked hard to put on Caledonia Days and next year we would like to challenge other local emergency groups in the cook off at this annual event.
SHOUT OUT to Frenchy the Slow Smoke BBQ specialist in town for sponsoring the cook off. Thank you to the judges!

Our members work and play hard and provide 24/7 service to the community as Search and Rescue volunteers.
Saturday, July 25th a couple of our members will also be wearing chef hat 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳 in the chili cook off competition. Come on out and enjoy the activities and cheer them on 📣 or better yet enter the chili competition. Thanks to the local groups that have come together to put on the return of Caledonia Days and the support of our local governments to make it a success.
