After two weeks in Nele’s house, Isabella moved into her own stable. Waiting for her inside: a teddy bear. 🧸
She now sleeps with it every night. For a fragile calf, it’s not just a toy—it’s comfort, warmth, and safety.

Rescued rhino calves are often blindfolded to reduce stress. But Isabella’s eyes were too sensitive—risking cornea damage and infection. So the blindfold was removed the very same day.
The result? She trusted her carers more quickly… and drank from the bottle almost immediately. 🍼

What a wise but sad words....!!

Rhinos use their horns for defense, dominance, and digging. But we turned that strength into a target. It’s time to reverse that story.

Many people don’t realize that a rhinoceros’s iconic horn is composed entirely of keratin, the same protein that makes up human fingernails and hair. Unlike bones or cartilage, keratin is a tough, fibrous substance that provides strength and durability. Rhino horns grow continuously, allowing them to be used for defense, digging, and social interactions.

Sadly, despite their composition, these horns are highly sought after for traditional medicine and jewelry, leading to illegal poaching. Understanding that rhino horns are just keratin emphasizes their biological similarity to human nails, highlighting the importance of conservation efforts to protect these majestic creatures from extinction.
