Dear Citizens,

We are happy to open sign up for this year’s TRTFN Salmon Camp at our new camp on the Lower River.

This is more than a trip. It is a chance to spend time on the land together, reconnect with the Taku Watershed, learn, work, laugh, share stories, and help bring fish home for our community.

Participants will spend multiple days at camp taking part in fishing, salmon processing, camp responsibilities, and daily life on the river. This is hands-on work and everyone will be expected to contribute and help support the camp experience together.

Space is limited and shared cabin accommodations will be provided at the new TRTFN camp. Preference will be given to first-time participants.

TRTFN is looking for an Angler Surveyor this season. This role is for someone who enjoys being outside, talking with people, learning hands-on skills, and contributing to the monitoring and care of Áa Tlein.

This is not just “collecting data.”
It’s being part of the bigger picture of stewardship, fisheries work, and helping gather information that supports future decision making for our people and our waters.

You do not need to know everything already.
If you are reliable, willing to learn, comfortable outdoors, and interested in meaningful seasonal work, we encourage you to reach out.

This could be a great fit for:
• Young adults wanting field experience
• Citizens interested in fish, wildlife, or environmental work
• People who enjoy working independently and with the public
• Someone looking to build skills while staying connected to the land

Season runs June to September 2026.

Preference will be given to TRTFN Citizens.

TRTFN Citizens,

We encourage you to attend the upcoming Canagold Proposed Gold & Antimony Mine Information Sessions happening May 29 and 30th at the Atlin Rec Centre.

These gatherings are an opportunity to listen, ask questions, learn more, and help shape conversations connected to our lands, waters, and future generations. Whether you are deeply familiar with the project or just beginning to learn, your voice and presence matter.

There will be opportunities to hear both high level overviews and more detailed technical information directly from representatives, technical working groups, and assessment staff.

Community engagement is strongest when citizens feel informed, included, and supported in making decisions in their own way and in their own time.

Transprotation, Door prizes, meals, snacks, and refreshments will be provided throughout the sessions.

We encourage all citizens to attend the gatherings that speak to them and help them stay informed, connected, and involved.

Gunalchéesh.
