On May 29, 2026, the CSWDO Buhangin B District together with the PRO XI Child Development Center (CDC) facilitated by Ma’am Judith Artazo in cooperation with TRANSCOM CARES and GLOBAL PEOPLE SERVICES successfully conducted the BRIGADA BULILIT 2026 at PRO XI CDC.

The activity focused on painting and general cleaning inside and outside the Care Center to create a cleaner, safer, and more child-friendly environment for the children. Volunteers and participants actively joined the clean-up and repainting activities, showing teamwork, cooperation, and support for early childhood development programs.

Through this initiative, the Child Development Center became more organized, colorful, and welcoming for the young learners. Daghang salamat sa tanan partners, volunteers, ug supporters nga naghatag sa ilang oras, kusog, ug dedikasyon aron mapadayon ang maayong serbisyo para sa atong mga kabataan.

The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO)- Child and Youth Welfare Section successfully conducted the 2nd Congressional District Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) CONNECT on May 28, 2026 at the 3rd Floor Function Hall, Barangay Sasa. The activity gathered youth leaders and coordinators from different districts with the goal of strengthening youth participation, leadership, and community involvement.

The PYAP CONNECT Assembly aimed to engage young people in discussing community concerns, sharing ideas, and participating in programs that promote youth development. It also served as an avenue for the youth to present their accomplishments, discuss important issues affecting their sector, gather feedback, and plan future programs and activities that will benefit their respective communities. Through meaningful conversations and collaboration, the activity encouraged the youth to become more active partners in promoting social responsibility and positive change.

The Youth Coordinators who participated in the activity were Rose Oliva, RSW from Agdao District; Marjorie Dizon, RSW represented by Melchor from Buhangin A District; Maria Christine Joy Cruza, RSW from Buhangin B District; and Avelino Nuñez from Bunawan District. Their active participation and support greatly contributed to the success of the assembly.

Dako kaayo among pasalamat sa Barangay Council of Sasa headed by our Punong Barangay Hon. Jerry L. Licarte for generously allowing the use of the venue, providing logistical support, and extending cash prizes for the participants during the activity. Special thanks also to SK Kagawad Hon. Rafael P. Beloy of Barangay Sasa for facilitating and assisting in the smooth conduct of the event.

Indeed, the success of the 2nd Congressional District PYAP CONNECT was made possible through the cooperation, support, and commitment of everyone involved. Daghang salamat sa inyong padayon nga suporta alang sa kalamboan sa kabatan-onan ug sa atong komunidad.

The Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) of Barangay Sasa headed by our Punong Barangay Jerry L. Licarte together with Mr. Alvin Gorgonio Juanillo, RSW, MATGC (District Overseer) and Miss Vanese M. Garcia, RSW (Direct Service Implementer) of City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) Buhangin B District, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) 4Ps representative Miss Rose, and PSSg Hazel C. Jasis of Philippine National Police PS4 conducted a dialogue regarding cases involving children and youth in the community on May 27, 2026 at the Barangay Hall of Sasa, Davao City.

The activity focused on discussing unsaon pagtabang sa mga kabataan nga nalihis sa dili maayo nga mga binuhatan aron maprotektahan sila ug magiyaan padulong sa mas maayong kaugmaon. The dialogue also highlighted the importance of cooperation between the barangay, parents, schools, and partner agencies in strengthening child protection and youth development programs.

Human sa maong dialogue, adunay pagahimuon nga Planning Workshop aron makahimo og sakto ug mas epektibong intervention programs para sa mga kabataan sa komunidad. Kini nga initiative nagtinguha nga matabangan ang mga kabataan pinaagi sa guidance, support, and positive activities nga makatabang sa ilang personal ug social development.

The Barangay Sasa Child Development Workers (CDWs) together with our CSWDO Buhangin B District Overseer, Mr. Alvin G. Juanillo, RSW, MATGC attended the National Seminar-Workshop in Early Childhood Education with the theme: “Engage, Explore, Excel: Dynamic Teaching Approaches for Curriculum Success” held last May 22–24, 2026 at Camiguin Highland Resort.

Dako kaayo among pasalamat sa Barangay Council of Barangay Sasa headed by our supportive Punong Barangay Hon. Jerry L. Licarte together with Barangay Kagawad Hon.MJ Abdul Mercado, Chairperson-Committee on Education and all Barangay Council Members for giving us the opportunity to attend this meaningful and inspiring seminar-workshop. Thank you so much sa inyong generosity, trust, ug suporta sa among mga CDWs.

Congratulations usab sa tanan Child Development Workers sa Buhangin B District nga ni-attend (Barangays Cabantian, Communal and Pampanga). This seminar-workshop truly helped us to engage, explore, and excel pinaagi sa pagkat-on og dynamic teaching approaches nga among magamit adlaw-adlaw sa among trabaho as educators and child development workers. Daghan mi og new learnings, ideas, and experiences nga makatabang para mas mapalambo pa nato ang serbisyo para sa atong mga kabataan.
