Our Mutya Ning Kapampangan-Porac representative Ms. Antonette Lhey Basilio on her cinematic pop culture-retro style: with her is the Iconic Porac Babo Robot Sculpture object that most truly depicts our municipality.

​A striking symbol of Porac's capacity to convert the devastation following the Pinatubo disaster into positive chances is the Babo Robot. This replica of the Robo Warrior film prop signifies the town's notable creativity and perseverance, which even attracted recognition from movie makers.

​A huge salute and congratulations to our beautiful representative, Ms. Antonette Lhey Basi who brought the powerful story of Porac to life through her local costume, "ABLAS NING BALAS" a rise after darkness. Inspired by the resilience shown after the Mount Pinatubo eruption, this masterpiece speaks volumes: from disaster comes unity, and from unity comes the power to rise above all.

ABLAS MEANS REVENGE, BUT IN A POSITIVE SENSE—A COMEBACK, A POWERFUL RISE AFTER
HARDSHIP .
THIS COSTUME REPRESENTS THE MOUNT PINATUBO ERUPTION AND THE PEOPLE WHO
CRAWLED THROUGH DARKNESS IN SEARCH OF LIGHT. IT EMBODIES THE UNDYING SPIRIT OF
THE PORAQUEÑOS, WHO TRANSFORMED THE VERY SAND (BALAS) THAT ONCE BURIED THEIR
LAND INTO A SOURCE OF LIVELIHOOD AND GROWTH.
IT CONVEYS A MESSAGE THAT FROM DISASTER COMES UNITY , AND FROM UNITY COMES THE
POWER TO RISE ABOVE ALL.
