Councilwoman Jenna Dukes Jenna L. Dukes, Councilwoman Horry County District 1 My name is Jenna Dukes and I am running for Horry County Council - District 1.

I am a Christian, a small-business owner and a proud Republican. For me, that means holding conservative principles, while promoting free-enterprise, safe communities, preserving our natural resources and our state’s natural beauty, educating our children, and fortifying our infrastructure - all with the smallest government involvement possible. I am so grateful for the opportunities that our grow

ing beach community has given to me, for the people I have grown to know and love, and for the customers who trust me with the health of their loved ones. Now it is time for me to give back to this wonderful community. I am running for County Council because I have a plan to halt irresponsible growth, improve our infrastructure, increase funding for public safety, improve access to specialized healthcare, promote economic development, and give you a representative that you can TRUST. Over the past 11 years, I have worked hard to build strong relationships and serve the people of this community. My pharmacy customers have trusted me for over a decade to take care of their needs. I want to carry that trusted leadership to Council and make decisions that are best for the people of this County. I promise to be a new, fresh voice for Horry County and a team member on Council to advocate for my District and Horry County as a whole. I humbly ask for your vote on June 14th and I look forward to serving you as Councilwoman of District 1.

It’s Primary Election DAY in South Carolina! Polls are now OPEN until 7:00 PM across Horry County. Exercising our RIGHT to vote is one of the most powerful ways we can advocate for the future of our county and state. Several offices will be decided TODAY including Governor, Attorney General, US Senate, Commissioner of Agriculture, Horry County School Board Chair and others.

The candidates who win today are the ones who will be making decisions about our rights, taxes, roads, safety and schools. If you want a say in the future of South Carolina, you have to show up loud and clear today.

I encourage each of you, if you haven’t already, to GO VOTE in this primary election! Polls close at 7:00 PM today. Politics can be divisive if we don’t respect everyone’s opinion and right to vote. Please be courteous to your friends, family and neighbors that may be supporting different candidates. We ALL want what’s best for our communities, state and country!

Your Councilwoman,

Jenna Dukes

On this Memorial Day, I'm honored to represent a community with such deep roots of service and sacrifice.

To every veteran and every active duty service member in Horry County and beyond: thank you. The freedom we enjoy today was purchased at the highest possible price, and we must never forget those who paid it.

May we always be worthy of their sacrifice. 🇺🇸

“You will never be able to get the business owners along the Little River Waterfront to reach a consensus and move forward with the waterfront revitalization project.”

That’s all I heard from naysayers over the last 3.5 years while I kept fighting to restore the $7 Million that was diverted away from Little River in December 2022 by a former Councilman, just a few weeks before I took office.

Most of you, if you didn’t already know this about me, have quickly figured out that I am not afraid of a challenge. From my first day in office I promised the business owners and residents of District 1 that I would claw back and restore every last cent for this important project.

I gathered ALL of the stakeholders and business owners along the Little River waterfront, together with the Little River Chamber of Commerce, to develop a plan that worked for everyone. I made it very clear that this project would be a collaborative effort and that I would FIGHT to bring back the $7 Million if ALL parties were willing to cooperate and reach a consensus.

We’ve made tremendous strides in the last four years to move toward a beautiful project and I’m proud to say that as of tonight, I got that money back, EVERY LAST CENT!

The waterfront business owners are finally working together, now better than ever, and their businesses are thriving! I’m so proud of the hard work of all involved and couldn’t have facilitated this without the help of the Little River Chamber of Commerce or Horry County Planning and Zoning.

I want to thank my fellow council members for having my back and helping to make the historic Little River Waterfront an even more special place for our residents and visitors.

The best is yet to come!

Your TRUSTED Councilwoman,

Jenna

It was great to be in North Myrtle Beach with Chairman Gardner for our annual State of the County hosted by Destination North Myrtle Beach on Friday morning. Thank you to the host and sponsors, but more importantly to everyone that attended. County Government works best when residents are engaged!
