*****SECOND RELIEF CAMPAIGN UPDATE POST: SAHARSA (DISTRICT)*****

Another flood relief camp was organized by BIHAR Flood Relief & Fundraiser team at district.

What do we take away from this life? If it is not the feeling of satisfaction having done good in the face of calamity, and having fought with collective effort. This happiness of people will mark your day good, and blessed. Bihar is lost in dark nights, with poor administration, and no social awareness, but with our efforts, it could see the sun each soul at a time. This only happened because of trust put in us by our donors, and volunteers. Every person is working round the clock in our group to assist Bihar in disaster relief campaigns. We thank you all for your kind contribution and the continuous support to our Nobel cause to help the needy flood-affected people of Bihar during this tough time. Your generous support towards this noble cause has strengthened the motivation of the drive. Here are the details of our second phase distribution drive:

Date of the relief: 21/08/2020
The relief camp was led by Amit Raj, Ph.D. Scholar, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Guwahati, and was helped by local volunteers. A total of 8 essential items were handed out to 130 flood-affected poor families.
The items include Daal (1 kg), Chura (1 kg), soap(2piece), surf (2packets), Chini (500gm), Biscuits (6packet), Matchbox (6packets).

Before starting the relief camp our team inspected the flood-affected area and made the list of severely affected families. Then based on their common needs we made a list of items as per family package. The relief packages were properly sanitized after packaging and loading. Proper safety measurement for Covid-19 was practiced throughout the distribution by following all the guidelines given by the government.

PS: we are still open for donations. We will be conducting more relief camps in the upcoming future. Dates and places will be notified later. We request to all come forward and support us by sharing, donation, and volunteering with us. As it is said, Life is worth living, when lived for others. Donate generously to us, we will make sure that your contribution sponsor more and more smiling faces. BIG SMILE.

While we take refuge at our homes to evade the deadly COVID-19, many out there are not that fortunate enough with their houses, properties, and lives being washed away by the 2020 Bihar Floods. It is not a new piece of news that requires special awareness. It is that time of the year again when we need to reunite in its real sense and bring forth the best of our capacities to help the ones in need. To date, the 2020 Bihar floods have left more than half of the state in devastation. With due respect to adherents of contemporary media and journalism, it is well-known that Bihar floods have never been a significant subject of headlines on the national media. Hence, it is upon us to try and extend our helping hands in whatsoever way possible in the concurrent scenario. It may, of course, be inconvenient to actively involve ourselves in person amidst the reigning situations. However, the least we can do is extend our financial support by donating to this noble cause so that the same can be utilized to fulfill their needs through concerning authorities. Therefore, it is an earnest request to donate generously through the links given here and help Bihar.
