"I am John Mayes, local businessman and former Board Member and Chairman of the Floyd County Commission, where I had the pleasure of serving our county for 16 years.

I am honored to endorse Mr. Larry Maxey for Re-election to the Floyd County Board of Commissioners. I have known Larry for almost 40 years and had the pleasure of serving with him on the Board of Commissioners. During our service we had the opportunity to work together on various projects and make decisions that we believe helped to make our community one of the greatest in the Southeast region.

Larry is hard working, dedicated and committed to our community. As a Businessman, Community Activist and Civic Leader he brings excellent credentials and experience to this county. Having served alongside him and having to make many pivotal decisions for our county, I can say that Larry is a viable candidate and he meets all of the qualifications that are required to make this Board of Commissioners great. He is honest, straight forward, thoughtful and very knowledgeable when it comes to the needs of our Community and making sound business decisions that will help us continue to grow and improve.
