and agents perform Marine Law Enforcement operations for the detection, prevention, interdiction, and apprehension of terrorists, terrorist weapons, and other contraband and persons from illegally entering or attacking the United States.

Border Patrol Intelligence Agents assigned to the Oroville and Curlew Border Patrol Stations arrested an illegal alien in Okanogan, Washington, that has an extensive immigration history that includes seven (7) Reinstatements of prior removal orders, five (5) Voluntary Returns, and was expelled from the U.S. several times under the Title 42 Public Health Order. This illegal alien also has prior criminal convictions for illegal re-entry into the U.S., DUI, and assault. The subject will be processed and transferred to ICE for detention and removal from the U.S.

Agents from Metaline Falls Station located James J. Palmer, a U.S. Citizen who has a criminal history that includes manufacturing of explosive devices, possession of dangerous weapons, assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and possession of m**h. The subject was the target of an active, extraditable nationwide warrant and posed a documented danger to the local community.
Upon locating the subject, U.S. Border Patrol personnel coordinated with the local law enforcement to effect an arrest. Responding Border Patrol agents from various shifts provided necessary backup, allowing the local deputy to take the subject into custody without incident.
