We are now recruiting!!! If you or someone you know is interested in joining Explorer Post #190, have them go to the Bonners Ferry Border Patrol station at 3 mile and pick up an application.

To join the program you must be 14-21 and have no criminal history. All explorers are required to pass a background check and interview.

As an explorer you will learn the different aspects of Law Enforcement as well as participate in ride along's. Exploring gives young adults the ability to get hands on training and knowledge in law enforcement.

We hold one meeting a month at the Border Patrol Station at the top of Three Mile. At each meeting we have physical training first thing and new recruits will be required to meet some physical training guidelines and must be in shape.

Stay tuned for more postings about recruitment and recent activities.

At the Explorers monthly meeting on Friday Explorer Post 190 said goodbye to three of their explorers. Patrol Explorer in Charge Richard Cowell stepped down and resigned from the post as he is in the application process to become a United States Border Patrol Agent. Also leaving was former Patrol Explorer in Charge Katie Onstott and Explorer Kaleb Huseby. We wish them all the best as they pursue their careers.

Now without further ado we are happy to announce that the new supervisors of post 190 are.
Patrol Explorer in Charge, Alexandria LeVesque
Supervisory Border Patrol Explorer Judah Draxlir

These two will now be running and planning events for Post 190 throughout the community and as well as managing this page. Congratulations on your new promotions and I wish you all the best! ~Former Explorer Richard Cowell

Way to go Boundary County on another amazing Memorial Day parade and remembrance ceremony. We were honored to be involved in this event. Our honor guard did fantastic leading the parade and then providing honor guard detail for the remembrance ceremony.

We also had the privilege of reading a patriotic poem during the ceremony. Supervisory Explorer Lexie LeVesque was originally supposed to read a poem that she had written but due to unforeseen circumstances was unable to attend the event. Her poem was still able to be heard though thanks to Explorer Dina Cook. Thank you Dina for reading it and thank you Lexie for sharing your heart and thoughts with us all.

Remember the red on the battlefield
Remember the blue blotted out of the sky
Remember the men and women who laid down their lives
Remember the whites of their eyes
Honor the cause they fought for
Honor the price they paid
Honor the men and women
Honor the sacrifice they made
Believe in the red, white and blue
Believe that it's in me and you
Remember we are
The home of the free because of the brave
