We finally captured our first Saw-whet of the season at Mary Gray! This feisty little first-year bird stopped Saturday night to give all of our owl night participants great views of this secretive species. 🦉🦉

We still have plenty of availability for our saw-whets and s’mores this coming weekend! Get your tickets here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/saw-whets-smores-mary-gray-bird-sanctuary-tickets-695608843777

If you can’t make it to the event, you can still support Indiana Audubon’s saw-whet owl banding project by purchasing some very cool owl merch. An owl adoption makes a unique Christmas gift for the owl lover in your life! https://inaudubon.square.site/

Today CHS was gifted the “Golden Clarion Fiftieth Anniversary Edition” from 1964. In an article written by John Nichols, he stated, “To each of us, CHS brings education, friendships, responsibilities, honors, discouragements, and many other additions to our lives. But most important, CHS presents to us a chance. A chance to start working toward our goal—a life filled with happiness and security. There is no way to guarantee this success, but education, more than anything else we may acquire, strengthens our chances in life.”
