🚨 NOTARY TIP: DON’T SIGN JUST YET! ✍️

Heading to the notary with an important document?

When in doubt, leave the signature lines blank until your notary tells you where and when to sign.

Why?

Because the type of notarization being performed can determine how the document needs to be signed and what the notary must do with you during the appointment.

Your notary may need you to:

👀 Personally appear before them
🪪 Verify your identity
✍️ Sign the document in their presence
🙋‍♀️ Take an oath or affirmation
📋 Acknowledge your signature or the act you're performing

Bottom line: Don't assume. Ask your notary before you sign.

A few extra seconds can save you from having to redo a document—or worse, having to track down someone to sign it again. 😉

Big things are happening over here at Star State Signings! ✨

It’s been a season of growth, learning, and a whole lot of behind-the-scenes work — and I’m so excited about the direction this business is headed.

From researching new services, investing back into the business, networking, marketing, and learning as I go… there have been many late nights and long days along the way. But seeing it all slowly come together makes it worth it.

Back in 2020, when I first received my notary commission, I never imagined it would grow into what it is becoming today. What started small has continued to expand step by step, client by client, and milestone by milestone.

Seeing my new car magnets and business cards come in just made everything feel a little more real. 🚘🖊️

One of the most common reasons a notarization can’t be completed?
An expired ID. 😬

Texas notaries are required to verify identity using a valid, current government-issued photo ID — including online notarizations.

Before your appointment:

✔️ Have your ID ready
