Sophia had her first official DYW outing as she headed to Holyoke, MA for the MA & CT State Finals. She was able to briefly chat with the candidates before the show began, and meet her new DYW classmates - Dea Kamberi from Massachusetts and Keira Zheng from Connecticut! It was an incredible show & she is looking forward to getting to know her new friends better in Alabama this June!

Please welcome and congratulate our Distinguished Young Woman of Rhode Island for 2025, Sophia D’Orsi from St. Mary Academy-Bay View! Sophia received not only cash scholarships from our program, but many college granted scholarships to schools across the country! We cannot wait to celebrate and work with Sophia this year! Fun fact: Sophia’s mom, Dana, was our RI representative in 1994!!! It definitely runs in the family :) Follow along to watch Sophia’s journey as we share her adventures on the way to the National Finals!
