E. MARK BRADEN

Mark’s practice with BakerHostetler focuses on various elements of the political process, including elections, campaigns, voting issues, redistricting, and ethics and lobbying regulations. Mark has argued before appellate courts in redistricting litigation, testified before congressional committees and the Federal Election Commission, and is considered to be “the father of ‘soft money’” in campaign finance.

Previously, Mark served as special election law counsel to the U.S. House Committee on House Administration. Mark has also served as Chief Counsel for the Ohio Elections Commission, Ohio Secretary of State, and the Republican National Committee. Mark is an adjunct professor at George Washington University.

JESSICA RING AMUNSON
Partner, Jenner & Block LLP

Jessica chairs Jenner & Block’s Election Law and Redistricting Practice, and co-chairs its Appellate and Supreme Court Practice. Jessica’s election law work focuses on redistricting, voting rights, and campaign finance matters, representing elected officials and other clients before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Federal Election Commission, and state courts across the country. Jessica’s recent litigation includes Brnovich v. Democratic National Committee, a high-profile case involving Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act and Arizona election law.

Before joining Jenner & Block, Jessica served as law clerk for Judge Merrick B. Garland of the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals. She was also a Fellow in the DC Bar Associates Fellowship Program, working with the Election Protection Program at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. Jessica is a regular speaker on issues related to election law, voting rights, and redistricting.
