ADMISSION: Free-will donations are accepted.
AWARDS: T-shirts, hoodies, and plaques are available for purchase by families at this event. They include the District KMEA logo on the front. On the back of the hoodies and t-shirts are the lists of students who participated in this year’s KMEA District Honor Choir. Your child’s name will be on it! See the attached sheet for pricing. There will also be a paper program with a list of all the students participating.
LUNCH: We will stop for lunch in Dodge City following the concert. Lunch will be provided by the school.
RETURN TIMES: Return times are totally dependent on the length of the concert and how long it takes us to get our food and eat. If parents cannot attend the concert, their child will text their parents when we leave Dodge City. Parents can then pick up their children at the school when we return.
DRESS CODE = DRESS CLOTHES
MODESTY and PROFESSIONALISM are the key words for performance attire. We want the audience to be thinking about your child’s performance, and about their accomplishments as music students, not about their clothing.
Please have your child wear light clothing for the concert. It gets very hot under the stage lights, and they will be crowded standing on the risers with 199 other kids. Flat, comfortable shoes are suggested, as the kids will be doing a LOT of standing.
