I have served on the Board of Directors of the Clarke County Chamber of Commerce for 11 years. I was raised and educated in Clarke County as a 1985 graduate of Quitman High School. I further received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1992. Upon graduating from USM, I was offered a position with Burlington Industries where I worke
d in manufacturing management, planning, and as Plant Capital Projects Manager. In the late 1990s, I formed the information technology firm Scott Evans & Associates, LLC. We serve over 3000 active clients across the state of Mississippi, the eastern quarter of Louisiana, the northwest panhandle of Florida, and the western third of Alabama. Those clients include local and state government agencies, businesses, churches and non-profits, and national companies. I’ve been blessed to have the opportunity to visit with many local leaders from across those states and learn their keys to success and what mistakes they made that others should avoid. Two things kept recurring in those conversations: the successful leaders were honest and had integrity. The unsuccessful leaders had difficulty being honest. I will bring honesty, integrity, 31 years of business experience, and principled decision-making to the office of Supervisor of Clarke County District 5. I look forward to personally meeting with the voters of District 5 in the coming months to listen to your concerns. I humbly ask for your vote in the August primary and the November general election.
