Formed on 19th October1993, the AAWA was the initiative of the
Albanian Australian Community Association Inc. The inaugural meeting was held at the Albanian Mosque, Drummond St. Carlton and is registered as an Incorporated Body with Consumer Affairs. Now in its 30th year, the AAWA has proven its longevity by working together and working through any problems that arose and as any organization knows
this does occur at times. It has presented itself to the outer community taking on major projects to increase the profile of the Albanian Community. Current President, Ylbere Muhtar invites you to access the photographic history of the 30-year journey and would like to see you come forward, become members serve on the committee and learn to take on Executive positions to assure the smooth continuation of the AAWA association!
