Formed on 19th October1993, the AAWA was the initiative of the
Albanian Australian Community Association Inc. The inaugural meeting was held at the Albanian Mosque, Drummond St. Carlton and is registered as an Incorporated Body with Consumer Affairs. Now in its 30th year, the AAWA has proven its longevity by working together and working through any problems that arose and as any organization knows

this does occur at times. It has presented itself to the outer community taking on major projects to increase the profile of the Albanian Community. Current President, Ylbere Muhtar invites you to access the photographic history of the 30-year journey and would like to see you come forward, become members serve on the committee and learn to take on Executive positions to assure the smooth continuation of the AAWA association!

Me dhimbje të thellë pranuam lajmin për ndarjen nga jeta të kryetares së parë të Shoqatës së Gruas Shqiptaro-Australiane (AAWA), znj. Idajet Abdullai.

Shoqata jonë nuk humbi vetëm kryetaren e saj të parë, por edhe një vullnetare të jashtëzakonshme, e cila për 34 vite me radhë ishte pjesë e pandashme e çdo aktiviteti dhe organizimi të shoqatës. Me përkushtimin, urtësinë dhe punën e saj të palodhur, ajo la gjurmë të pashlyeshme në historinë e komunitetit tonë.

Humbja e saj nuk është vetëm humbje për Shoqatën e Gruas Shqiptaro-Australiane, por për mbarë komunitetin shqiptar në Australi, e në veçanti për KF Shqiponja, ku znj. Idajet ishte gjithmonë aktive dhe një vullnetare e pakursyer.

Largimi i saj do të lërë një zbrazëti të madhe në komunitetin tonë. Megjithatë, vepra, përkushtimi dhe shembulli i saj do të mbeten frymëzim për të gjithë ne, që të ruajmë vlerat tona kombëtare, të forcojmë unitetin dhe të vazhdojmë të punojmë pa u lodhur për çështjen shqiptare.

Në emër të Shoqatës së Gruas Shqiptaro-Australiane, shprehim ngushëllimet tona më të sinqerta familjes Abdullai dhe familjes Memishi për këtë humbje të rëndë. Ndajmë dhimbjen dhe pikëllimin me ta dhe lutemi që Zoti ta shpërblejë të ndjerën me gradat më të larta të Xhenetit.

Today we say goodbye to Elmaze Ali with heavy hearts.

AAWA extends its heartfelt condolences to her family and loved ones. Elmaze will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and loving spirit, and the beautiful memories she leaves behind.
