We’re honored to welcome our dear friends, a local Amish family who will be teaching one of our two breakout sessions during the Holistic Homestead Festival!

The festival is taking place simultaneously with the conference classes. So while classes are happening, you can sit in on this special session where they’ll demonstrate how they can meat and preserve food without electricity—time-tested skills they use daily.

They’ll also be vendors at the event, offering their handcrafted furniture and wares—a beautiful example of craftsmanship and heritage living.

34 years ago today I lost my sweet Mother, you really never get past such a loss, you just learn to deal with it and try to cherish the good memories. She passed away just as she was finishing a blanket she was crocheting and had in her lap for my daughter Caitlin Ethridge who would be born 4 months later.
