Meals on Wheels of Ramsey County (Minnesota) is a nonprofit organization that provides nutritious meals, a regular safety check and connections to other services to residents of the greater St. We offer many menu options including regular, low salt, diabetic, gluten free, vegetarian. Customers have the option of having their meals delivered daily ready to eat or, if they choose, a weeks supply of

frozen meals to be heated at their convenience. Meals are prepared from scratch using fresh, organic, local grown food whenever possible.

We’re excited to share that we have funding to provide healthy, home-delivered meals to Veterans thanks to a grant from the Minnesota Legislature. To be eligible, Veterans must meet one of the following criteria:

➡ age 60+ or,
➡ experiencing food insecurity or,
➡ unable to obtain food because of a medical or mental health condition

If you are looking to volunteer more, want to find new ways to support your neighbors, or simply need a reason to get away from your desk for a break during the workday, signing up to deliver Meals on Wheels is a great way to start off the new year! Delivering meals takes about one hour at lunchtime on weekdays and typically involves less than 10 miles of driving. And, you'll feel great knowing you did your part to ensure the neighbors on your route received the nourishment and personal connection they need to stay healthy and happy in their own homes.

Our Story

Meals on Wheels of Ramsey County (Minnesota) is a program of the Senior Services Consortium of Ramsey County. The Consortium is a nonprofit organization composed of eight member agencies that provide Meals on Wheels and other senior services in Ramsey County. Member programs provide nutritious meals, a regular safety check and connections to other services to residents of the greater Ramsey County, MN area. We offer many menu options including regular, heart healthy, diabetic friendly, dairy free, gluten free, renal, and vegetarian. We have cultural menus that include Kosher, Asian-Inspired, and Latin-Inspired. Meals on Wheels clients have the option of having their meals delivered daily ready to eat or, if they choose, a weeks supply of frozen meals to be heated at their convenience. Meals are fresh and prepared from scratch in a local Meals on Wheels kitchen.
