Wow! Congratulations to all of the teachers and staff at GHR for being recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School! We are so very lucky to have such an amazing and dedicated group of educators in Coventry who strive to achieve the best for our students! Thank you to Ms. DeRagon and all of her teachers and staff for all that they do every day, especially right now, navigating education during a pandemic. We appreciate you!

The Coventry RTC endorsed Republican Registrars continue to let their incompetence influence elections year after year. Their lack of training, certification, and overall disregard for the responsibilities of their elected positions have yet again compromised the integrity of another election.

When will it end, and at what expense?!

COVENTRY — A 17-year-old registered voter said Monday that she was denied the right to vote at the Aug. 11 primary, in what state officials say is a violation of

A big thank you to each and every resident that took the time to write an email to be read at the audience of citizens during the town council meeting last night ! Your emails were read for one and a half hours... WOW! While there were further cuts made to the BOE budget, $50k, we believe without YOUR emails, this number could have easily been much higher. Thank you for continuely showing up for your town and for our education system!

Hi everyone! I hope you are all hanging in there during this crazy time! Many of you ask throughout the year how you can help our schools... here is an important way our town can help right now. Tonight the Town Council will make its final decision on this year’s budget and vote to send it forward. There will be no Town Meeting or publicly voted budget referendum this year due to COVID-19.

The very lean budgets sent forward by the Board of Education and the Town Manager are in real danger of being further cut tonight. We need to tell the council that major cuts to education and town staff layoffs are not the answer. Further information can be found in the minutes for recent BOE and TC meetings.

We urge families to please submit letters of support for the BOE budget as it is now to be read during Audience of Citizens tonight. Your feedback matters, and hearing more voices matters.

****Please consider writing a brief letter (even a sentence or two) to support our budget. Let our voices be heard! All letters can be submitted to [email protected] by TODAY at 6pm. You must state your name and address in the letter. Thank you all in advance!!****

Be well!

Proud of you Jen Bynes!

Proud of you Jen Bynes!

For those of you wondering what’s up with the sign…

“Thank you Jen Bynes”.

Jen brought it to our attention that birthday parades involving Public Safety would really lift the spirits of the community especially during isolation and quarantine. Her idea to have people request a drive by based on availability was presented to the firefighters and police and the idea took off beyond our expectations. Her idea exemplifies the spirit of community. While she would have preferred to remain behind the scenes, the impact has been far too great not to recognize her.
So, like the sign says,
Thank you Jen Bynes!

With everything that is going on with COVID-19, it can be hard to remember other priorities right now. One thing we do want to remind you about is the importance of participating in the 2020 Census.

Today is Census Day and it has never been easier to participate. You can complete the survey online at the link below.

YOUR RESPONSE MATTERS. The census can shape many different aspects of your community. Census results help determine how billions of dollars in federal funding flow into states and communities each year: For health clinics. Fire departments. Schools. Even roads and highways.

The results determine how many seats in Congress each state gets.

IT'S REQUIRED. Participation in the census is mandated by the U.S. Constitution in Article 1, Section 2: The U.S. has counted its population every 10 years since 1790. Responding now will minimize the need for the Census Bureau to send census takers out into communities to follow up.
