Congrats Washington County Health and Human Services and the Washington County community for reaching this important milestone--80% vaccinated! OPHI's vaccine team has been on the ground helping boost these numbers in Washington County. There's still lots of work to do for vaccine equity, and we will be there!

Thank you Washington County, Oregon community members for getting your COVID-19 vaccination. We are the first county in the state to vaccinate 80 % of our our adult population. That doesn't mean we are done--we still have many young people who need vaccination and many in our Black and Latinx/Hispanic communities. To track Washington County's progress see the OHA vaccination dashboards below. To learn where you can get a vaccination in Washington County, see: www.co.washington.or.us/vaccine.

Today, August 10, 2021, Oregon reported record-breaking COVID-19 related hospitalizations--635. As OHSU said in its statement today, "Cases are rapidly rising and the current forecast predicts that Oregon will have more than 1,000 hospitalized COVID-19 patients by Labor Day. This is the worst-case scenario that Oregonians worked so hard to avoid in March 2020."

This is a long game and OPHI will be here as long as we're needed. Read more below.
