🚨 POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER 🚨

Well folks… it’s safe to say the weather is NOT on our side again! 🌨️😅

Due to the forcasted weather & for everyone’s safety, we’ve made the decision to postpone the Elementary Dance & Bunny pics until Friday, March 27th from 6-8 PM.

📣 Please share to help spread the word!

Starting March 15th Nova Scotia’s burn restrictions come back into effect during wild fire risk season from March 15th until October 15th.

This means that NO BURNING is allowed DAILY between the hours of 8am and 2pm. The burn safe map is updated daily to show what restrictions are in place for each county in the province.

Failure to obey these restrictions can lead to fines of $25,000.

Cape Breton Highlands National Park is under their own jurisdiction and restrictions in the national park may differ from provincial restricions.

Make sure you check https://novascotia.ca/burnsafe before you burn during this period.

If you spot illegal burning, or a possible wildfire never hesitate to dial 9-1-1 or 1-866-565-2224 to report it.

With the clocks changing tonight for Daylight Saving Time, it’s the perfect time to take a few minutes and check your smoke detectors and change the batteries in your home.

Working smoke alarms are your family’s first line of defense in a fire. A simple battery change can make a life-saving difference.

✔️ Change the batteries in all smoke detectors
✔️ Test each alarm to make sure it’s working
✔️ Replace detectors that are more than 10 years old.

When you change your clocks, change your batteries. ⏰🔋

Take a few minutes tonight to help keep your home and family safe.

We would like to share with the community a couple of new purchases we have made to better our abilities to help those in need. On the outside we have 2 new jack struts which can be used to help stabilize a vehicle during extrication, and in the middle we have a fast board. A fast board can be used to help remove a fallen fire fighter or civilian from a burning structure.

We want to thank every one who has been kind enough to donate and the ones who help us out by buying the firefighter's 50/50 tickets. We are able to make these purchases because of you! 😊
