MALAWI PRISON SERVICE
The Malawi Prison Service is a department under the Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security. It gets its provision from the Laws of Malawi Chapter 9.02 and the Constitution of the Republic of Malawi section 17:163 and is regulated by the Prisons Act 1966 (being revised)
The department is mandated to:

Detain
Rehabilitate offenders
