In a world that often feels restrictive, one new local foundation is giving back with rhythm, heart, and a whole lot of denim. Palos Park Recreation Foundation officially announces its public launch with a high-energy, Footloose 80’s Prom-themed dance event on May 29 at Palos Park Rec. Fun for the whole family. As the adults dance away upstairs the kids have thier own party downstairs!Founded in February 2026, Palos Park Recreation Foundation was created to help increase the recreation offerings in and to the Palos Park area. Rather than a traditional black-tie gala, the foundation is inviting the entire community to a "joyous" celebration of movement and mission.“Ren McCormack" fought for the right to dance because he knew it brought people together. We’re using that same energy to bring people together for COMMUNITY. We aren’t just launching a nonprofit; we’re launching a movement where everyone has a seat—and a dance floor.”Event Details:
