"CLEVELAND, Ohio — A federal judge on Monday(7/13/26) extended his order blocking Ohio officials from enforcing the state’s new h**p restrictions against 10 beverage manufacturers, finding the law likely unconstitutionally favors Ohio companies over out-of-state competitors.
U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Helmick in Toledo granted the companies a preliminary injunction, preventing prosecutors and law enforcement agencies from taking action against the companies or anyone who possesses, sells, distributes, or consumes their products."
The ruling bars prosecutors and law enforcement from taking action against the companies or anyone who possesses, sells, distributes or consumes their federally legal h**p products.
