Retirement is a new chapter, and having the right information and support can make all the difference. 🌿

GIPF invites pensioners to our Post-Retirement Workshop in Oshakati, where we will share practical guidance and important information on services that matter after retirement.

Disability benefits play an important role in supporting GIPF members who are no longer in active employment due to a disability.

This 5% increase is intended to help beneficiaries navigate rising living costs while providing greater financial support and helping to preserve their dignity. The adjustment follows the implementation of a 5% salary increase for public service employees and reflects the Fund’s ongoing commitment to protecting the financial well-being of members who are unable tocontinue working due to disability.

Members receiving the disability benefit will see the increase applied from April.

Resignation is not the same as retirement. If you resign before retirement age, your options may include preserving your benefit within GIPF or transferring it to an approved fund, preservation fund or to a retirement annuity fund.

In her role, Joanette will support the management and delivery of the Fund’s internal and external communications, helping to strengthen stakeholder engagement, maintain consistent messaging and build a positive reputation for the Fund.
