The Automobile Department at the Polk County Tax Office will be closed on Thursday, April 21 from 12-4:30. We will have the state in our office during this time doing title fraud training. However, the Property Tax Department will be open normal business hours. On Friday, we will be open normal business hours. Thank you for your patience.

Just a quick reminder. Property taxes are due Monday, January 31. After that day, on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, there will be penalties and interest charged to any remaining balance. Unless, you have an over-65 or disability homestead and have a quarterly payments set up. Also, January 31 is the last day to register to vote to be able to vote in the March primary.
