Chisum High School Alternate Schedule for Juniors and Seniors on (Tuesday) 4.8.2025 & (Wednesday) 4.9.2025

Juniors and Seniors who are not scheduled to retest during the English I and English II STAAR Testing Dates will have an alternate schedule. Juniors and Senior Students who are not testing will report to school at 1:00 p.m. on 4.8.25 & 4.9.25.

Any Junior or Senior who needs to make up time due to excessive absences can report at 7:30 a.m. and will receive credit. (Please see Mr. Hudson for details)

Students who are normally released due to Career Prep can see Mr. Miller for release times.

Students who are enrolled in Dual Credit Classes will meet at the regularly scheduled time unless otherwise instructed by the professor. Please contact your PJC instructor for details.

We are excited to announce that tickets are now available for our annual CHIPS Banquet!

April 26 | 6pm

Come out for an amazing meal catered by Hole In the Wall, and the chance to bid on some amazing silent and live auction items.

Best part? Every dollar we raise at the Banquet will go towards Chisum ISD Graduating Seniors🎓

Tickets are available from any Senior, and the Senior who sells the most tickets wins an additional scholarship!

Tickets can also be bought at the Chisum Administration building during business hours.

A message from our Superintendent, Tommy Chalaire.

In an effort to get our students and staff home ahead of the predicted severe weather, Chisum ISD will be releasing school at 12:00 noon today. Buses will also run at that time. All students will have their lunch times altered accordingly.

Congratulations Chisum ISD Secondary Teacher of the year 2025, Mr. Ryan Skidmore!

Ryan started his teaching career at Prairiland ISD in 2010. Mr. Skidmore joined his alma mater in the 2012 school year and is finishing his 13th year with CHS.
He will complete 15 years in education this year. Mr. Skidmore currently teaches Dual Credit Biology, Dual Credit Anatomy and Physiology, Honors and Regular Chemistry and coaches the Chisum High School UIL Science Team.

Chisum ISD is blessed to have such a caring and compassionate educator inspiring our students. Congratulations Mr. Skidmore, keep up the good work!

Due to the threat of freezing temperatures, sleet, and snow, Chisum ISD will be closed on Thursday, January 9, and Friday, January 10.

All after school activities for those days have been cancelled, and all facilities will be closed.
