Spent some time packing boxes at community food banks in Sacramento and the Bay area!
As California families come together during the holiday season, the last thing they should worry about is putting food on their table.
Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services and Second Harvest of Silicon Valley make that a reality.
Wrapped some presents with SBCS!
While I'm not the best at wrapping gifts, I’m honored to help this incredible organization make the holiday season brighter for San Diego kids and families in need.
California is a reproductive freedom state through and through–today we make that undeniably clear by enshrining the right to choose in our state’s Constitution.
As California’s chief law enforcement officer, I will continue to protect and preserve the reproductive freedom of all Californians.
As families prepare for holiday travel, many are bracing for lost bags, cancelled flights, and unexpected charges.
We deserve better.
We're urging the Department of Transportation to increase transparency in airline charges and ensure accountability for cancellations and delays.

Honored to help The Midnight Mission as they work to uplift Californians experiencing homelessness by providing essential services and shelter.

Let’s keep working together to bring light to our state.
Happy Hanukkah!

We took an important step forward in securing justice for the tragic killing of an innocent young boy.
I want to thank our law enforcement partners and CADOJ's Special Operations Unit for their hard work on this case.
Nothing can erase the pain caused by losing a child, but we hope this day brings some measure of healing to Jasper Wu's family.
Jasper Wu was killed by a stray bullet fired by gang members engaged in a "rolling gun battle" on Interstate 880 on Nov. 6, 2021. Three of those men have been arrested, and one died last month.
Sobering report.
Our office launched an investigation into TikTok about the harms its platform can cause, and if it’s violating the law in promoting its platform to young people.
We have to protect the mental health of our kids.
TikTok starts recommending content tied to eating disorders and self-harm to 13-year-olds within 30 minutes of their joining the platform, according to a report.
The finally enshrines protections for same s*x and in*******al marriage into federal law.
Not too long ago, my marriage would have been illegal. I simply cannot imagine life without Mia, and I know so many others feel the same about their spouses.

California has the largest safe, legal, and regulated cannabis market in the world, but unfortunately illegal grows continue to proliferate. Over the past 13 weeks, our multi-agency team eradicated nearly 1 million cannabis plants to reclaim our public lands, and we’re not done yet. I’m launching the Eradication and Prevention of Illicit Cannabis (EPIC) task force, a year-round effort to build out CADOJ’s cannabis enforcement work. Together, with our local, state, and federal partners, we’re going to tackle the environmental and economic harms and labor exploitation associated with this underground market.
